Companies/State Boards of Phlebotomy Technicians
Ordering an official verification of the phlebotomy certification provides primary source validation of CPT phlebotomy certification. NPCE recommends against accepting phlebotomy certification wall certificate or wallet card photocopies as proof of phlebotomy certification, as these documents can be altered after leaving any phlebotomy certification agencies.
Please note that certain NPCE certifications require the individual to provide official direct source validation of medical examiner education at the time of initial application. This is true of all NPCE certifications that require transcripts for eligibility: all phlebotomy technicians and medical examiner specialist certifications, as well as finger-stick, ekg/ecg, paramedical insurance examiner, and phlebotomy instructor certifications.
